Bermuda Land Surveys is currently seeking a Land Surveyor.  Our team deal with a wide variety of projects offering a comprehensive service to both private and public sector clients.  This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team with over 40 years experience in Bermuda.  Working under the general direction of the Senior Land Surveyor, the successful applicant will have detailed understanding of the principles of survey together with the applied use of modern equipment.  Their primary focus will be to carry out services for the land survey department such as boundary surveys, subdivision design and development, setting out of site works and topographical surveys. 

 The successful applicant will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, or equivalent, and be eligible for Registration as a Land Surveyor in Bermuda. 

 They will have a minimum of 3 years surveying experience both in the field as well as processing of field surveys from field to finish.   The applicant must be able to demonstrate a high degree of technical skill in these areas.

 They must have strong experience with land survey equipment such as all types of EDM, data collectors, survey software, CAD packages, computers, plotters, printers, etc., as well as considerable knowledge of all phases of surveying and mapping. 

 Familiarity with the appropriate sections of the current Bermuda Development Plans and the Bermuda Planning Act is necessary.

 Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.  The applicant must be able to discuss technical issues with other surveyors, engineers and contractors as well as with the public in laymen’s terms.
