The Department of Tourism wishes to recruit a qualified and experienced individual with strong sales and management skills to fill the post of Marketing Manager, Worldwide, within the Department’s New York Office.
Under the direction of the Director of Global Operations, the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the day–to–day operations of the Marketing Section of the New York Office as well as our overseas marketing representatives.
Duties and responsibilities of this post include, but are not limited to:-
- Implementation of Distribution and Marketing Plan.
- Liaison and direction of key agencies, representation companies or partners worldwide.
- Implementation of marketing strategy across B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumer) environment.
- Monitoring promotions which are carried out by the communications agencies.
- Coordinating promotional opportunities with television or radio stations, magazines and film companies.
- Communication of key messages both internally and externally.
· Monitoring budgets, preparing Quarterly Analysis reports of communications activity and media spending.
· Preparing recommendations for allocating communications budget and adjusting spending when and where needed.
· Establishing Satisfaction Survey to measure the levels of satisfaction among the various members of the Bermuda team.
·Collection and distribution of any pertinent Business Intelligence to key stakeholders.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant management related field, such as Sales, Marketing, Communications or Hospitality Management. A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a business development, or sales or marketing capacity is required.
This post demands a hands-on individual with a high level of self motivation. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, proven negotiation abilities, and a broad understanding of distribution trends internationally: B2B and B2C. Experience in working in an international environment within a travel related industry is preferred. A moderate amount of travel is expected. The successful applicant must be willing to work outside of normal working hours as required to meet business demands.
Final confirmation in this post will be conditional upon the applicant obtaining the requisite non-immigrant visa to work in the United States. Upon issue of a visa, the successful applicant will be expected to take up the duties in New York immediately.
