Testing Supervisor/Psychologist

The Ministry of Education and Development has a vacancy for the post of Testing Supervisor/ Psychologist at the Child Development Programme.
Working under the direction of the Coordinator of the Child Development Programme (C.D.P.) the post holder manages, supervises and implements the assessment service for pre-school children. The postholder provides consultation and collaboration regarding developmental issues, as required.
Duties and responsibilities of the post include, but are not limited to:
· administration of developmental assessments of preschool children;
· providing advice, educational and/or resource materials to families regarding child development and parenting issues as necessary;
· managing and implementing the assessment service of Child Development Program (C.D.P.) which includes developmental screenings and assessments of preschool children (birth to 5 years of age);
· supervising the developmental testers through weekly group supervision, monthly individual supervision and other consultations, as required;
· liaising with relevant professionals in other agencies regarding preschool children and families who are considered to be at-risk or have special needs, as required; and
· designing and implementing research and evaluation strategies for the C.D.P. services, as requested by, and , in collaboration with , the C.D.P. Coordinator.
Applicants must possess a minimum of a Doctoral degree in Child Psychology or Developmental Psychology or equivalent from an accredited institution and be eligible for licensure in their place of training. A lesser graduate degree will be acceptable where satisfactory proof is provided to demonstrate that the education provided is substantially equivalent to education provided in an accredited doctoral programme in psychology.
A minimum of three years post-qualification experience testing young children, including the administration and interpretation of standardised measures, is required. Experience in research design, implementation and analysis is required.
The successful applicant must possess a valid driver’s licence.
