The Department of Health is seeking to recruit enthusiastic, suitably qualified individuals to fill the posts of Nurse at Sylvia Richardson Care Facility for Elders.

Working under the direction of the Nursing Coordinator, the successful applicants will be responsible for providing a range of skilled services including: nursing assessments, developing and implementing care plans, monitoring care and progress and a range of Elder directed care activities. The post holders will also be responsible for supervising and coordinating care provided by other members of the team.

Duties of the post also include:

·        assuming charge duties as assigned by the Nursing Coordinator, and or the Administrator;

·        participating in care conferences as scheduled;

·        taking an active role in staff orientation, teaching and professional care meetings; and

·        keeping up to date with modern trends in Long Term Care.

Applicants must possess a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing or its equivalent and must be a Registered Nurse (RN), currently licensed with the Bermuda Nursing Council.  A minimum of three (3) years post qualification nursing experience is required for this post.
