Laboratory Technician

The Department of Health wishes to recruit a qualified individual to fill the post of Laboratory Technician.
The successful applicant will be required to assist with the daily operation of the Public Health programme of the Central Government Laboratory.
The duties of the post will include:
- receipt and logging of samples;
- preparation of media and solutions;
- analysis of water, milk and food for bacteriological and chemical quality;
- operation of equipment for screening urine samples for drugs of abuse;
- performing quality control procedures; and
- general laboratory duties.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, together with a least one (1) year’s experience as a Laboratory Technician.
