Assistant Director
(LICENSING AND AUTHORIZATIONS)
Insurance Department
In this key role, you will be responsible for:
• Managing a team of professionals and carrying forward the Authority’s supervisory, regulatory and inspectorial responsibilities for Department regulated entities.
• Evaluation and analysis of confidential returns applications and the compilation of reports based on the submitted information
• Conduct meetings pertaining to the licensure of insurance entities, agents, brokers and salesmen
• Liaison with the overseas supervisory and regulatory bodies
• Representation on various committees and conferences
This position requires a proven technical and business background:
• Candidates for this position must be mature persons with a minimum of 10 years’ demonstrable experience within the insurance industry and/or insurance regulatory environment
• Relevant operational and managerial experience in a financial services environment (with particular regard to the insurance industry)
• Ability to interpret, administer and discuss at a high level, legal statues and similar material
• A relevant professional qualification or equivalent training/experience in a regulatory
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience and understanding of computerized data-based systems
• Excellent management, leadership and interpersonal skills
