Aberfeldy Nurseries Limited is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Financial Controller.

The successful applicant will assume responsibility for the management of the accounting function which includes:
• Managing of the accounts receivable and accounts payable function, inventory control and purchasing, payroll and general accounting
• Preparing the annual audited financial statements, supporting schedule and related analysis
• Performing ad hoc duties and special projects as required

The role involves working closely with senior management team in order to effectively manage the business, identify key issues and develop strategies.

The following are requirements for the position:
• A minimum of two years experience in a senior accounting position in a business of similar complexity i.e. manufacturing, plant production, retail environment would be an asset
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Experience in PC based accounting (Simply Accounting) as well as office productivity tools
• Be a self starter and be able to demonstrate the ability to develop detailed analysis of specific areas of operations for management review
• Ability to organize and prioritize workloads and meet deadlines, overtime will be required at busy periods
