Account Executive—US Property Catastrophe

Sirius International Insurance Corporation Bermuda, a branch of White Mountains Re Sirius, invites application for the position of Account Executive—US Property Catastrophe.
The successful candidate must have extensive knowledge of and experience within reinsurance modeling and underwriting, in particular in US Property Catastrophe Marketplace.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Analyze, review and evaluate new and renewal submissions
• Model accounts in RMS, AIR and Proprietary models
• Review and analyze contract wordings
• Price and negotiate terms and conditions with the Company’s production sources
• Portfolio reporting for Senior and Risk Managers
• Assist with the production of presentations and reports at Board level
• Liaise with brokers and take part in marketing activities
• Flexibility to work long hours including extended travel, to meet objectives and tight deadlines
• Ensure Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• A university baccalaureate or post graduate degree in mathematics, engineering or a similar field
• A minimum of 5 years modeling and underwriting experience with a reinsurance carrier
• In depth and hands on knowledge of vendor property catastrophe models
• Ability to write queries in Access, SQL, etc.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, especially XL and Powerpoint
• Excellent relationships with reinsurance treaty brokers and clients
• Strong communication, analytic and presentation skills
